In this one-of-a-kind blacksmithing experience at The Drunken Smithy, you'll make your own finished, heat-treated, sharpened masterpiece. You can choose to forge knives, axes, or jewelry. Your student will spend a fascinating half day with Grayson parent and orthopedic specialist Dr. Jeffrey Berger to learn about regenerative medicine for spine and joint issues, including the opportunity to observe stem cell harvesting and image-guided re-injection.

Dr. Berger is an interventional orthopaedic specialist. He is quadruple board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain medicine, sports medicine and electrodiagnostic medicine.

This half-day experience is for one student in grades 6-12 at The Regenerative Joint & Spine Center at Premier Orthopaedics in Wayne. It will be on a mutually convenient Monday, Thursday, or Friday.

Your student and their friends will join local mixed-media artist and educator Emie Hughes at her Blue Jar Studio in Wallingford for a private cyanotype workshop. Perfect for a birthday party for your creative artist!

Cyanotype is one of the oldest photographic processes and has a distinctive blue color. Cyanotypes are made by treating a surface - paper, cloth or leather - with iron salts which then react to UV light. Originally used to document botanical specimens by placing them on treated papers and exposing them to the sun, it was also an early way to create copies of drawings, especially architectural drawings - thus the name "blueprints."

This private 2-hour cyanotype workshop is for up to 6 students, ages 10 and older.

PGA Tour, PGA of America, and Philadelphia PGA championships have all been played at Wissahickon.
